When is the best time to bid?
There really is no better or worse time to bid in any of blotto’s auctions. However, if you are looking to place more than one bid in a Lowest Unique Bid Auction, then it may be beneficial to lodge your bid in early. That way, if your original bid becomes no longer unique, or no longer the lowest unique bid lodged, you’ll have more opportunity to bid again. Additional to this, is where your bid is no longer unique, but was the first lodged at that amount, then it may become involved in a ‘shared bid race’ (where there are no unique bids received). If, at the close of the auction where there are no unique bids, your bid amount is the lowest amount with only two bids, and you lodged that bid amount first, you will be declared the successful bidder.

Remember, all bids lodged will be silent until the end of the auction, so nobody will be aware of the bid amount that you lodged.
How much should I bid?
What you bid is entirely up to you.
Check out the Member’s Lounge stats section prior to lodging your bid. This will tell you;
The most common bid amounts lodged; and
The most common successful bid amount.
Knowing this will help you choose what bid amount you wish to lodge in a lowest unique bid auction.
User education
Ensure that you get our emails!
Before you register with blotto, please ensure that your email address that you chose as your point of contact will allow outside emails to be received. Some companies have strict restrictions on the type of emails received from outside the organisation. If you need to change your email address, just go to ‘Edit My Profile’ in ‘my blotto’.
Notifying blotto that you wish to purchase the item if you are declared the successful bidder.
Don’t forget that in order for blotto to provide an enjoyable and efficient auction site, if you are declared the successful bidder in an auction and you wish to purchase the item, you must confirm to blotto within 3 (three) business days of being notified by blotto. This is not only to have the product delivered to you in a short period of time, but it provides the second chance bidder an opportunity to purchase the good in a timely manner if you do not wish to purchase.
So remember, check your emails daily, to ensure that you don’t miss out on buying a bargain!
Charity information
